The St Pat’s Fund has been established as an endowment within the Miner Alumni Association for the purpose of ensuring that the century-long tradition of St Patrick and his Celebration will be around as long as there is a university in Rolla. While set up for perpetuity, currently the Fund is concentrating on two projects as established by the Fund’s advisory board:

Landscaping the area around the soon to be bronzed statue of St Patrick that has stood in the library since 1970. The St Pat’s classes of 2008 and 2009 donated $60,000 - the biggest gift ever of any student organization to the university – to the Fund to bronzing the statue. Now it is up to us to fund the remainder needed to create a beautiful setting for this magnificent statue. The statue will be placed by the puck and this centrally located area will be known as St Patrick’s Plaza. With Parker Hall in the background, St Patrick’s Plaza will easily become one of the most scenic and photographed place on campus. (See the details & sketches at Plans for St Pat’s Plaza.)

Establishing an annual retreat for Board Members and Alumni for the purpose of continual improvement in the delivery of the “Best Ever” on the campus of Missouri S&T forever. As you know, celebrations take a lot of work and teach many lessons – what better way to learn and share that with those who have gone before.
How to Donate to the Fund
Please note: Be sure to designate your gift is for the St Pat’s Fund as it goes into a general fund within the Miner Alumni Association. Also, if you want credit with the St Pat’s Board for your gift, please add a comment saying “please let the St Pat’s Board know of my gift” and include your St Pat’s class year.

- Check with your employer to see if your donation qualifies for Fund Matching
- Donations by check can be made out to “St Pat’s Fund” and sent directly to the Miner Alumni Association at 107 Castleman Hall, 400 W 10th St, Rolla, MO 65409. Please annotate “Tell the St Pat’s Board of my gift” so that we can acknowledge your donation.

Special Recognition of Donations to the St. Pat's Celebration Endowment Fund
- All Donors to the Celebration Fund will receive a distinctive serial-numbered lapel pin.
- Sustaining Donors ($1,000 - $4,999)
- Donors will receive a framed and mounted photograph of the completed statue recognizing their donation.
- Patron Donors ($5,000 up)
- Donors will be honored on bronze plaques on the statue base.
- Patron Classes ($10,000 up)
- Each Senior St. Pat's Board class that makes accumulated donations of $10,000 or more will also be honored on bronze plaques on the statue base. When donating, be sure to include your court year as a note or memo.
MSM-UMR Alumni Association is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. As such, all donations to this fund are tax deductible for the January-December fiscal year the donation was made in.
